Ocean Universal in Westcourt, Cairns stocks a proper spearfishing inventory. That's no accident — the store traded as Spearfishing Superstore, so spearo gear is still what they're known for.
They carry rail spearguns, camo wetsuits, long-blade fins, low-volume masks, weight belts, floats, dive knives, and general spearo accessories. It's all chosen for tropical spearfishing — not temperate gear website that wasn't made for FNQ.
They became Ocean Universal because the shop had already started stocking scuba and freediving equipment over the years. But the spearfishing range wasn't scaled down. It's still a core part of the business.
Staff are FNQ spearfishers and can help with what works on Great Barrier Reef spots.
